Jakarta Montessori School is committed to maintaining the highest standards of educational quality through national accreditation, international partnerships, and continuous professional development.
International Montessori Recognition
Jakarta Montessori School was the first Montessori school in Indonesia to receive accreditation from the Montessori Evaluation and Accreditation Board (MEAB). This accreditation recognized our commitment to authentic Montessori principles and best practices.
As part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, we are currently pursuing International Montessori Council (IMC) School Accreditation, further strengthening our adherence to internationally recognized Montessori standards.

National Accreditation
Our school is fully accredited by the Badan Akreditasi Nasional (BAN).
- Kelompok Bermain (KB), Taman Kanak-kanak (TK), and Sekolah Dasar (SD) operate as Satuan Pendidikan Kerja Sama (SPK) and have received an "A" National Accreditation.
- Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) and Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) have also achieved "A" National Accreditation and are currently in the process of obtaining their SPK licence.
International Partnerships
As an SPK school, Jakarta Montessori School maintains a formal partnership with The Montessori Foundation (USA), which serves as our international partner in accordance with Indonesian SPK regulations.
Our Year 11 and Year 12 students are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and Jakarta Montessori School is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the delivery of the Diploma Programme.
National Partnership
Jakarta Montessori School is an active member of:
- Perkumpulan Sekolah SPK Indonesia (PSSI)
- The Association of National and Private Schools (ANPS)
These memberships enable us to collaborate with fellow SPK schools, contribute to educational development, and remain aligned with national policies governing international partnership schools in Indonesia.
Professional Development
We believe that exceptional education begins with exceptional educators. Our teachers and school leaders participate in continuous professional learning through close collaboration with internationally respected Montessori organizations, including:
- The Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS)
- Montessori Schools and Centres Australia (MSCA)
These partnerships provide ongoing opportunities for Montessori certification, leadership development, workshops, conferences, and professional training, ensuring that our educators remain current with international best practices while continually enhancing the learning experience for every child.
